2019 Registration

Dear Saddlewood Campers,

We are now preparing for summer 2019. There have been many changes over the years, but the focus of our programme remains the same. Saddlewood has always been the catalyst for girls to bond with horses and make life-long friendships. Saddlewood is now welcoming second and even third generation campers.

Click here to find all the information needed for you to register for camp. A medical appointment is not necessary to complete the blue medical form. A confirmation notice will be sent via email.

As always, there will be four, two-week sessions and campers may come for more than one session. Coming consecutive sessions or breaking up your stay are both great options. There is a special rate for campers coming more than one session and for sisters. One week options for the 4th session are available for new campers who are under the age of 12.

Saddlewood prefers payment by cheque or e-transfers but credit card payments will also be accepted. Some parents have found it more convenient to send a series of post-dated cheques or have multiple credit card transactions to cover camp fees. We are committed to creating payment options that best suit your family’s needs. Please send an email if you wish to discuss various payment options.

Camp 2018 was almost fully booked by the end of March last year, and there was a waiting list for the first session. If you do plan to attend Saddlewood next summer, please read the enclosed information carefully and ask your parents to fill out the application, blue medical and green questionnaire forms and mail them to the camp at your earliest convenience.

For any camper wishing to bring their own horse or pony to camp with them, please contact the camp office to make the necessary arrangements.

Last summer, Saddlewood purchased seven new horses and ponies in order to provide campers with the perfect match. We continue to search for those special horses to join our herd.

We had an excellent staff last summer and most of them will be returning again this year.

Many of our CIT’s (counsellors in training) will be returning as cabin counsellors or barn staff. Our kitchen will continue to bake those hot muffins in the morning and those great chocolate chip cookies.

The Saddlewood horses and ponies are resting in the fields, awaiting the return of the campers for another summer. We look forward to providing another great camp for you in 2019.

Sincerely,

Kim and Heather Smith
